This was Janet Leigh’s first Broadway show and Jack Cassidy’s last show... ever. After this show closed he tragically burned to death. It was also Janet Leigh’s last theater show ever, and it is NEVER mentioned in her bios, on-line or off. She was great on screen but she was NOT a theater actress. As I recall, the sets were gorgeous, but the press was bad. Bob Barry’s plot is fun: Jack Cassidy is a matinee idol; Janet, his wife, is having an affair with his agent. The agent is secretly Jack's lover. The husband & wife are both plotting with the agent to murder each other on New Year’s Eve. It's all very quick, clever, and somewhat silly.
