LA STAGE COMPANY 1983 CLOUD NINE
I became involved with the LA Stage Company when it was formed by Susan Deitz in the early 80s. Cloud NIne by British playwright Caryl Churchill is an issue-packed drama dealing with feminism, gender roles, social roles, race, time and power. Set partly in a British colony in the Victorian era, it examines the relationships involved in colonization & uses cross-gender casting for comic & instructive effect. Done in 3 PMS colors & black, I cut all the Rubyliths by hand for the color separations, a thankless job thankfully eliminated by the computer.
Ink, Letrafilm on white board.
